VIVA LA VIDA

Solar panels across the coachroof, a composting galley, and a chef who teaches yoga between courses. VIVA LA VIDA is a 2022 Sunreef 80 sailing catamaran based in Mallorca, where a crew of four run a charter programme built around solar power, onboard composting, and a genuine commitment to low-impact cruising.

She sleeps eight guests across four en-suite cabins: a master suite, one VIP, one double, and a twin. The 11.5-metre beam gives every cabin genuine room, and the saloon opens through full-width glass onto the aft deck dining area. Up top, the flybridge carries its own wet bar, sunpads, and a second dining space with a view over whatever anchorage you've chosen for the night.

On deck, there's a bow terrace with trampolines and a fitness setup (TRX bands, kettlebells, free weights) for anyone who wants more than the daily yoga session. In the water, the toy list runs deep for a 23-metre cat: two Seabobs, a Flite Carbon e-foil, two kayaks, paddleboards, a wakeboard, water skis, snorkel gear, and fishing rods, all launched from a ZAR Z5 tender. A crew of four, chef included, handles everything at a cruising speed of 8 knots.

She splits the year between Mallorca and the Balearics in summer, then crosses to the BVI and the wider Caribbean for winter.
