Komodo from May to October, Raja Ampat from November to April. SAMSARA SAMUDRA is a 42-metre phinisi built by Haji Awang in 2019, and her seasonal programme follows two of the most biodiverse marine regions on the planet. She was purpose-built for this: ironwood and teak construction, traditional Sulawesi hull lines, and a layout designed around diving, snorkelling, and island exploration.
Twelve guests in six cabins. A master suite on the upper level with king bed, bathtub, and panoramic windows. A luxury suite on the upper deck with king bed and private shower. Four deluxe suites on the lower deck with a mix of king and twin configurations, all en-suite.
Two kayaks, two SUPs, wakeboard, waterskis, full snorkelling gear, and a complete diving setup. The toy list is deliberately focused: in Komodo and Raja Ampat, the reef is the main attraction and the toys exist to get you to it. A crew of sixteen (including dive guides) on a 42-metre hull is a generous ratio.
She cruises at 8 knots, unhurried by design. The itineraries are built around anchorages, dive sites, and Komodo dragon encounters, not nautical miles.
Two seasons, two archipelagos, and one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in Indonesian charter. SAMSARA SAMUDRA goes where the marine life is, and waits for you to catch up.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
