BLUE OYSTER

BLUE OYSTER works the Amalfi summer out of Ischia. She is a Dehler 60, built in 2008 and refit through 2017 to 2019, an eighteen-metre sailing yacht under the Italian flag with the Bay of Naples on her doorstep.
The Dehler 60 is a German performance cruiser, and the boat shows it on deck: a long cockpit set up for short-handed sailing, a 4.83-metre beam, and a 3.30-metre draft that opens up the breezier passages between the islands. A skipper and host run the boat.
Six guests sleep below in three en-suite cabins. The layout is a master, a double, and a twin, with a separate crew cabin forward. The interior is bright and contemporary in the Dehler way, with the salon, navigation station, and galley arranged around a single open volume. TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a watermaker are on board.
From Ischia the cruising line runs short across to Procida and Capri, south to the Amalfi coast and Positano, west to Ponza and the Pontine islands, or longer to the Aeolians and the north coast of Sicily. Charter pickups happen at Castel dell'Ovo in central Naples, which puts guests on board straight off the train from Rome. A deck shower, a BBQ on the transom, and outdoor speakers handle the at-anchor side.
Ischia for the start of the week, Capri or Positano by Tuesday, the Aeolians if the wind cooperates. The boat does the Bay of Naples on her own terms.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
