WALLY ONE

1 / 24

WALLY ONE is hull number one, the first yacht Luca Bassani ever commissioned under the Wally name, designed by Luca Brenta and built at the Sangermani yard in 1991. She defined a category: the performance maxi-yacht that looked clean, sailed fast, and refused to compromise on deck aesthetics, and everything Wally has built since started with this hull.

Refitted in 2022, she sails year-round from Valencia with a crew of four. Three cabins sleep six guests: a master with queen berth and two twin cabins, all en-suite. At 25 metres with a GRP hull and a single Yanmar 360hp diesel, she makes 11 knots under power and considerably more under canvas when the conditions are right.

Toys include two SUPs, a wakeboard, water skis for adults and children, and fishing gear. The western Mediterranean from Valencia opens up the Balearics, the Costa Brava, and the Columbretes Islands, all within comfortable range of a weekly charter.

The first Wally, still sailing, still for charter, with thirty-three years in the water and lines that look like they were drawn last season.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
