QUEEN OF DIAMONDS

Captain Dimitris Dalakos is a third-generation Athenian seaman, born in 1980, who came to chartering after a parallel career as a professional DJ. He runs QUEEN OF DIAMONDS, a 2014 Lagoon 52 with the optional flybridge package, refit in 2022 and based year-round in Athens.
The flybridge gives the boat a third social space alongside the cockpit and the forward saloon. The cockpit handles alfresco dining; the forward saloon stays cool and shaded; the flybridge takes the sun, the helm, and the captain when guests want company at the wheel.
Five cabins sleep ten guests, with one master queen, three further queens, and a bunk cabin for younger crew or kids. Air conditioning runs throughout, USB sockets sit in every cabin and the saloon, three refrigerators handle a week of provisioning, and solar panels supplement the generator on quiet anchorages. A crew of two cooks, sails, and looks after guests.
From Alimos Marina, an Athens turnaround puts the Cyclades, the Argosaronic Gulf, and the eastern Peloponnese all in range of a one-week itinerary. She cruises at 8 knots, carries a tender with a 60-horsepower outboard for shore runs, and travels with kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel kit for ten, and fishing gear on board.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
