MALIZIA

Summer: SicilyWinter: Sicily
1 / 26

Perini Navi built MALIZIA in 1989 for Prince Rainier III of Monaco, the last in the yard's line of 25-metre sailing yachts. She was refitted in 2021 and now charters year-round from Sicily, covering the Aeolian Islands, Lipari, Stromboli, and the coast between Palermo and Messina.

Three en-suite cabins sleep seven guests. The master has a king bed, one cabin runs a double, and the third combines a double with a single berth for a smaller group or family with a child. Crew of three lives forward. The interior is teak-lined and typically Perini in its restraint.

The 5.5-metre beam gives her a purposeful feel on deck. Toys include a wakeboard, water skis, kneeboard, windsurfer, three SUPs, a tandem kayak, tow tube, floating mats, and snorkel gear. The Williams Turbojet 325 tender handles island hopping and shore access. She cruises at 8 knots under power and moves well under canvas in the right breeze.

A Perini with royal provenance, now working the Sicilian waters she was designed for. Few charter yachts carry that kind of story.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
