SPIRIT OF PONANT
Ponant, de Franse expeditie-cruiserederij, lanceerde in 2024 een eigen chartertak voor privéjachten. SPIRIT OF PONANT is het vlaggenschip voor de Seychellen: een Lagoon Seventy 7 zeilcatamaran voor 12 gasten in zes en-suite hutten (vier tweepersoons, twee twins) met een bemanning van vier.
Drieëntwintig meter zeilcatamaran met een serieuze speelgoedkast. Een opblaasbare Tiwal zeilboot, twee wing foil packs, jetski, Seabob, wakeboarden en waterskiën voor volwassenen en kinderen, een towable, drijvend platform en complete snorkelsets. De 5 meter tender staat op een hydraulisch platform naast een hydraulische gangway, waardoor in- en ontschepen vanaf strand of steiger vlot verloopt.
Benedendeks herbergt een wijnkelder met een selectie die is gevormd door Ponants cruisetraditie, bijgehouden en geroteerd door de vier bemanningsleden die ook de bevoorrading en routeplanning rond Praslin, La Digue en de buiteneilanden verzorgen.
Ze vaart het hele jaar door op de Seychellen zonder seizoensgebonden repositionering, langs de binnen- en buiteneilanden op routes die zijn afgestemd op de heersende zuidoostpassaat en de lokale kennis van de bemanning. Als de Indische Oceaan de bestemming is en twaalf het aantal, dan is dit de boot met het pedigree van een cruiserederij op de diepgang van een catamaran.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
