CNB designed the 66 around a specific brief: the largest sailboat a family crew can genuinely handle. MAHINA 3 is hull #8 of that line, a 21-metre Philippe Briand design built in Bordeaux in 2018 and set up for serious blue-water cruising in the hands of two professionals.
Captain Damien Quichaud has been working professionally since 2002, and crew Audrey Laniel rounds out a pair who know these waters. Their summer base covers Corsica and Sardinia, with the French Riviera, Sicily, and Amalfi all within reach.
Below, the "Levanter" interior carries walnut woodwork against light oak floors, panoramic salon windows pulling in the light, and large hull portholes that keep the three en-suite cabins airy and bright. Each cabin runs its own air-conditioning. Six guests fit without compromise.
The cockpit telescopic table folds flat to a sunbathing platform, a small detail that signals how the whole boat thinks about dual-purpose space. A SUP, wakeboard, snorkel gear, and fishing tackle handle most of what a week at sea actually calls for.
At 31,000kg displacement over a 5.51m beam, MAHINA 3 carries the stability of a proper offshore yacht, pushed by 208.8 square metres of Philippe Briand sail plan and a Volvo D4 when the wind drops. Hull #8 of a line built for family independence, based in Corsica and Sardinia with a captain who's sailed these waters since 2002.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
