IKIGAI
Carbon mast, hydraulisch rollend grootzeil en een zeilenarsenaal met grootzeil, genua, twee gennakers, Code 0, stormfok en stagfok. IKIGAI is een sloep van 25 meter, ontworpen door Judel/Vrolijk, gebouwd door JFA in 2002 en grondig verbouwd bij Vitters scheepswerf in Nederland (meest recent in 2024, met een investering van meer dan 2,3 miljoen euro). Ze neemt deel aan races én wordt verhuurd; de aluminium romp is voor beide gebouwd.
Drie hutten bieden plaats aan acht gasten. De voorste masterhut heeft een tweepersoonsbed; de twee gastenhutten beschikken elk over twee losse slaapplaatsen met pullmanberth, die eenvoudig te combineren zijn voor gezinnen of koppels. Een bemanning van twee verblijft achteraan. Het interieur van de Vries Vos is strak en modern, ontworpen rond de aluminium structuur zonder die te verbergen.
Aan boord vindt u een Seabob, snorkeluitrusting en vismateriaal. De tender ligt opgeborgen in een garage in de spiegel. Ze vaart op 12 knopen en zeilt aanzienlijk sneller in de juiste omstandigheden; dit is een boot waarop u ook écht wilt zeilen in plaats van overal te motoren.
De zomerbasis is Palma, met de Balearen als vaargebied. In de winter oversteekt ze naar het Caribisch gebied. Een echte prestatiejacht die even comfortabel verhuurt als ze racet.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
