Maurits has been sailing since he was a kid. Dinghy racing first, then competitive sailing, then professional yachting. Over the years he worked as a charter captain across the Med, Caribbean and Atlantic, then moved into central agency, managing the commercial side of crewed yachts for owners.

We meet the crew and visit the yachts each year
Every spring we're at the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplion and the East Med Multihull Show in Poros. We continue on to the Croatia Yacht Show and finish the circuit on the Côte d'Azur. Across those weeks we step on most of the yachts our clients are likely to charter that season, talk to the captains and chefs, see what's changed since the last refit, and ask the questions a brochure won't answer.
Between shows we spend several weeks a year cruising Greek waters ourselves. The anchorages we recommend, the tavernas we route to, the captains we keep coming back to: it's all first-hand. When we send you a shortlist, it's built from boats we've been on and crew we've actually met.

Best if: real sailors, experienced groups, the Ionian or Saronic in June or September.
Where to charter

The base rate covers the yacht, the full crew, and all on-board equipment (tenders, water toys, sound system). Fuel, food and drinks, port fees, VAT and gratuity sit on top, paid through an APA of around 25 to 35% of the base. You get a clear, itemised breakdown with every option we send.
How does APA actually work?
You wire the APA to the captain a few days before embarkation. The captain spends it on fuel, provisioning and dockage, and shares a running ledger. Anything unspent comes back at disembarkation. Anything overspent gets settled on the boat. The system is transparent and standard across MYBA charters.
Is Greece a good choice with kids?
Yes, if you pick the right region. Saronic and Ionian for first-time charter with kids: short crossings, sheltered bays, easy taverna evenings. Cyclades work from late August into September once the meltemi calms. We flag crews who are good with children when we send your shortlist.
Why a MYBA contract?
MYBA is the global standard. It defines exactly what's included, how the APA settles, what happens with weather cancellations and insurance, and the force-majeure clauses. If a broker is using a different contract, ask why.
When should I book?
Peak July to August premium yachts get locked between January and March. Shoulder season (June, September) often has good availability 4 to 6 weeks out. For 2026, July dates are tightening; September is still flexible.
