OTOCTONE

Summer: Corsica
1 / 30

OTOCTONE moves under electric drive on solar-charged batteries. She is a Sunreef 80 Eco launched in 2024 with twin 180-kilowatt electric motors, a 550-kilowatt-hour battery bank, and solar panels integrated directly into the hulls and superstructure, sailing under French flag from Porto-Vecchio for the Mediterranean summer season.

She measures 23 metres on an 11.54-metre beam, drawing 2.20 metres, with an 8-knot cruise under power and full sailing performance on top. The four-cabin layout sleeps nine guests across a master suite, a VIP, a family double, and a single cabin with pullman berth, each en-suite. A crew of four runs the boat across Corsica, Sardinia, the Balearics, and the South of France from the Porto-Vecchio base through the season.

Three outdoor zones share the time on board: the full-beam aft cockpit with daybed and alfresco dining, the bow terrace forward, and the flybridge with a modular dining table, bar, and barbecue. Panoramic glazing in the main salon keeps the inside spaces open to the same view as the decks. A hydraulic platform on the aft cockpit takes guests from sun-deck to swim level without leaving the lounging space.

Toys run off a Williams tender and cover the Seabob 2X F5S, an electric foil, paddleboards, a wakeboard, water skis, snorkel kit, wetsuits, and an inflatable tube. Full air conditioning, deck shower, and the usual catamaran systems round out the inventory.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
