GANANY

Summer: CorsicaWinter: French Riviera

GANANY charters under two automated, retractable, inflatable wingsails on a fully electric drivetrain, with no fossil fuel on board. She is a MODX 70, designed by VPLP and built in 2024 by Océan Développement on a hull from the Neel yard in La Rochelle. She took Multiyacht of the Year 2025 at the Multihull of the Year Awards.

The wingsails come from Aeroforce, a company set up specifically for the MODX project, and they deliver around 35 percent greater efficiency under sail. Two 40-kilowatt electric motors per hull do the auxiliary work, and once she's moving the propellers turn into hydro generators feeding the battery bank. Seventy square metres of solar panels and a rainwater system for the heads close the loop.

She carries eight guests in four en-suite cabins across two-hundred square metres of living space, with a forward cockpit, an aft cockpit, and a generous saloon connecting them. A crew of three including a chef runs the boat. Toys run to a Seabob, two paddleboards, a tube, snorkel kits for eight, fishing gear, and a wing foil for guests who want to try the small version of what the boat itself does.

Summers operate from Ajaccio for Corsica and from Olbia for Sardinia, with Marseille as the winter base. The signature of GANANY is the quiet: a Med charter under wing power and electric drive, where the soundtrack is the wind and the water at the bows.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
