ANDROMEDA
Newport, Rhode Island is een van de weinige plekken aan de Amerikaanse oostkust waar een catamaran met bemanning echt zinvol is: beschutte havens, korte afstanden tussen ankerplaatsen en enkele van de beste zeilwateren van New England. ANDROMEDA is een Lagoon 620 die hier in de zomermaanden ligt en in de winter verhuist naar de Bahamas en de Caribbean.
Gebouwd in 2016 door Lagoon en gerefit in 2022, heeft ze het VPLP-rompontwerp dat door Lagoons topklasse loopt. Met 18 meter lengte en 10 meter breedte biedt ze ruim leefoppervlak voor acht gasten, verdeeld over vier hutten met eigen badkamer, elk met airconditioning en een eigen tv.
De tweeledige bemanning wisselt per seizoen: in de Caribbean voert Captain Julianna Rodriguez (500-ton USCG, meer dan 10 jaar ervaring, met een achtergrond in mariene kustbiologie) het bevel en stemt de routes af op de beste snorkellocaties en mariene habitats. Twaalf sets snorkeluitrusting aan boord zeggen genoeg over de prioriteiten van het charterprogramma.
SUP, tube, visuitrusting en een drijvende lounge completeren het speelgoed. De bijboot heeft een 70pk buitenboordmotor voor transfers naar de kust en riffen. BBQ, ijsmachine, watermaker en wifi dekken de essentiële voorzieningen aan boord.
Twee seizoenen, twee kustlijnen: Block Island en Nantucket in juli, de Exumas in januari, op dezelfde romp met dezelfde standaard van service.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
