L HIPPOCAMPE
Summer in the western Med, winter in the Caribbean out of St Maarten. L'HIPPOCAMPE is a Nautor Swan 100 delivered in 2008 and refitted in 2024, with German Frers handling both naval architecture and interior design. At 30 metres she carries eight guests in four en-suite cabins (a master, a VIP, a double, and a convertible twin), all with Apple TV, and a crew of four.
The 2024 refit brought her up to current standards. She cruises at 9 knots under power with up to 16 under sail, and the Williams 415 diesel jet tender handles shore access and tow duties.
Toys go beyond the usual sailing yacht inventory: an E-Foil, kite surf equipment, wakeboard, water skis, paddleboard, snorkelling gear, and fishing equipment. The kind of list that keeps a mixed group occupied across a full week.
Based in Spain and Italy for the summer season (Balearics, south of France, Italian coast), then repositioning to St Maarten for Caribbean charters through the winter.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
