MAGIC CAT

MAGIC CAT is a 25-metre carbon catamaran built by Multiplast in 1995 and refitted in 2022. Multiplast is the yard in Vannes, on the Brittany coast, that built Commodore Explorer, the first boat to win the Jules Verne Trophy with Bruno Peyron in 1993. Her hull is vacuum-pressed sandwich carbon with a carbon mast and dagger boards for upwind performance. Gilles Ollier drew the lines.
Eight guests sleep in four double cabins, each en-suite, with a crew of four housed forward. The cockpit is the centre of life on board, the place where meals happen, sundowners get poured, and the morning briefing decides where the wind is taking you.
The toy inventory covers a Seabob, two SUPs, wakeboard, wake skate, monoski, and water skis, with tubes for the less ambitious. Snorkel gear, fishing tackle, and scuba equipment are on board, with diving arranged on a rendez-vous basis.
Under power she cruises at 10 knots on twin Yanmars, but under sail she's comfortable in the mid-to-high teens and pushes into the low twenties on a good day. She splits her year between the South of France and the Caribbean.
MAGIC CAT carries a carbon hull, a carbon mast, and dagger boards from a yard that builds boats to win the Jules Verne Trophy. She was built to sail.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
