SEQUOIA

Summer: IndonesiaWinter: Indonesia
1 / 18

SEQUOIA carries twelve crew for six guests, a ratio that includes a private chef, a dive instructor, and a wellness practitioner. She is a 30-metre phinisi built in Sulawesi to US Coast Guard and ABYC engineering standards, delivered in 2017 and refitted in 2022. Named after the giant Sequoia tree, she was built with a philosophy centred on longevity.

Three king-bedded cabins, all en-suite, sit within interiors that pair traditional Indonesian timber construction with contemporary marine systems including a water maker, low-emission propulsion, and minimal mechanical noise underway.

She divides the year between Komodo in summer and Raja Ampat in winter. The dive programme is core: full scuba gear and instruction are onboard as standard. The water sports inventory adds three tandem kayaks, three paddleboards, water skis, floating mats, and four sets of fishing gear. A 200hp tender covers shore access and dive site transfers.

Both Komodo and Raja Ampat rank among the world's premier dive destinations. SEQUOIA accesses them at 7 knots with a crew-to-guest ratio that most land-based dive resorts cannot match.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
