ASTORIA

Summer: CycladesWinter: Saronic Islands
1 / 19

ASTORIA is a Fountaine Pajot Samana 59, delivered in 2021 with naval architecture by Berret-Racoupeau and exterior styling from the Fountaine Pajot design office. She runs from Marina Alimos year-round under Greek flag, set up for the Cyclades season out of Athens, with Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini all within easy reach.

Ten guests sleep across five en-suite cabins: a full-beam master and four queen doubles, all with private heads. A crew of three runs the boat, with a captain on the helm and a hostess and chef who handle service and the galley between them. The interior is contemporary, light-filled, and quiet underway.

The 30 m² flybridge is the social heart of the boat: sun loungers, alfresco dining for ten, and a clear view forward across both hulls. Below it, the main saloon opens onto the 27.5 m² aft cockpit through full-width sliders, with the galley up on the same level so the cook stays in the conversation. The foredeck carries modular sunpads for quiet sessions away from the action, and an A La Plancha cooking station handles outdoor lunches.

Twin Volvo D3 150HP diesels and a full sailing rig give her 8 knots cruising under power, with solar panels, a watermaker, and electric winches keeping the boat self-sufficient at anchor. Toys cover the family programme: two Seabobs, two paddleboards, a wakeboard, monoski and water skis, snorkel and fishing kit, and a towable for the kids. A Stingher 380 tender with 60HP handles the shore runs and beach drops.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
