MYRA

Summer: Cyclades
1 / 30

MYRA is a 29-metre steel-hulled schooner, built by Ege Yat in Turkey in 2003 and refitted in 2022. She carries five sails on a traditional schooner rig, and the black-painted hull with gloss-varnished bulwarks and teak decks gives her the look of a yacht from another era. The steel construction provides a weight and solidity you can feel at anchor and under sail.

She sleeps twelve guests in six en-suite cabins: four doubles forward of the salon (two to port, two to starboard) and two twins aft. For a 29-metre sailing yacht, that's generous accommodation, and the 2022 refit brought the interiors up to date with fine wood panelling and teak-holly inlay floors throughout.

The raised deck house salon is the social centre, flooded with natural light through large ports and set up with formal dining for twelve on the port side and a lounge to starboard. On deck, the aft cockpit has alfresco dining and sun pads under a bimini, with more sun pads on the foredeck.

Toys include a wakeboard, two water skis, two SUPs, a kayak, snorkel gear, and fishing tackle, all supported by a 5.5-metre Zodiac tender. She cruises at 8 knots from her summer base in Athens, with the Cyclades, the Saronic Gulf, and the Peloponnese coast all within reach. A crew of six runs the boat.

Good to Know

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
