HYDRUS

HYDRUS is a 2023 Lagoon 55 sailing catamaran of around seventeen metres, named after the Greek primordial god of fresh water and running her charter programme out of Lavrion year-round. She takes up to ten guests across five cabins, with twin 150-horsepower Volvo engines and a pair of Onan generators (17kW and 27kW) handling propulsion and onboard power.

The five-cabin layout puts four double en-suites and one twin cabin convertible to a double on the lower decks, each with its own mood lighting and colour palette. Above, the saloon, galley, and dining area run through full-height glazing onto the upper deck, where the bar and sunbathing zone sit alongside the second helm.

Captain Pantelis Vairaktaris leads the three-strong crew, with deep experience moving new boats out of the major European shipyards to Greece. Chef Dimitris Konstantakis, an Athens native and graduate of the LE MONDE culinary school in 2017, runs the galley with personalised menus that lean on Mediterranean tradition and local produce.

Watersports kit covers a Seabob, two two-person kayaks, two stand-up paddleboards, a wakeboard, adult and children's water skis, two towable tubes, plus snorkel and fishing gear. A BBQ, water maker, ice maker, and bimini handle the long-day onboard comforts at anchor.

The boat works the Cyclades from her Lavrion base, with weekly rates running from twenty-two thousand five hundred euros in the shoulder months up to thirty-one thousand at peak.
