GOA 10

Summer: The BahamasWinter: The Bahamas
1 / 30

One of GOA 10's three crew is a dedicated kitesurfing instructor. The yacht runs out of Nassau year-round with kite, kite foil, and wing foil gear stored aboard, working the Exumas chain and the wider Bahamian flats where shallow water and steady trades make for textbook conditions. Charters tend to settle into a rhythm of morning sailing between cays and afternoon sessions on whichever flat the captain has picked.

She is a Lagoon 52, built in 2017, sailing under Spanish flag. Length is 15.8 metres on a beam of 8.6 metres, with a 1.5-metre draft that opens up the shallow Exuma anchorages. Four en-suite cabins sleep eight guests across the two hulls, with the saloon and aft cockpit running together at deck level and a flybridge above for the helm and a second seating area.

The bow trampolines are the standard lounging spot, whether for watching the bow wake on passage or reading in the shade of the bimini at anchor. Salon stereo, full air conditioning, water maker, generator, and wifi cover the systems side.

A 20-horsepower centre console dinghy carries eight to shore, with the two paddleboards, snorkel kit, and light tackle for whatever the day calls for. Itineraries on the standard Saturday-Saturday Exumas loop typically include Staniel Cay and the swimming pigs.

Good to Know

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
