BISCAYNE

BISCAYNE is a 23-metre Astondoa, built in 2008 and fully refitted in 2025, based in Ibiza for Balearic charters through the summer and wintering in Alicante. Eight guests sleep across four cabins refreshed in the refit: a master with a king bed, a queen, and two twins.

The crew of three includes a captain, a deckhand, and a stewardess who doubles as cook. At this size with this crew, the charter runs personal from the start: your name by lunch on day one, your drink order by sunset, your preferred anchorage by day three.

On the water there's a Seabob, two SUPs, a wakeboard, and a towable tube for afternoons off the Formentera beaches. The tender is a Williams 385 Turbo Jet for quick runs to shore or beach trips to the smaller coves and anchorages that the yacht can't reach herself.

She makes 22 knots under a Spanish flag and covers Ibiza, Formentera, and Mallorca comfortably within a week's cruising from her Ibiza home port. She's a well-crewed Astondoa in the right port, freshly refitted, and ready for the Balearics.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
