HYPERION is a 47-metre Royal Huisman sloop drawn by German Frers and launched in 1998. At the time, she was the largest and most technically advanced sloop ever built. Her carbon fibre mast stands 59 metres tall and exerts 200 compressive tons at the base. That's engineering, and it translates into a yacht that genuinely sails.

Six guests in three cabins, all en-suite. The full-beam owner's cabin sits aft with a king bed and study area. A queen double to starboard and a twin to port complete the layout. With a crew of 8, the ratio is generous for a sailing yacht of this size.

She cruises at 10 knots under power (15 max) with a 5,000-nautical-mile range. On deck, the aluminium hull and teak decks give her a clean, understated profile that's aged well. The large pilothouse and spacious saloon keep life comfortable when the wind picks up.

Toys include a wakeboard, water skis (adult and kids), snorkel gear, fishing gear, and fast tenders for shore runs. She splits her year between Palma in summer and Antigua in winter, covering the Balearics, Northern Europe, and the Caribbean Leewards and Windwards.

A Royal Huisman designed by Frers, with the rig and range to go anywhere. There aren't many of those on the charter market.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
