JUSTIFIED HORIZONS

Nanny Cay year-round, with the dive gear, the tanks, and a PADI Instructor captain. JUSTIFIED HORIZONS is a 2021 Lagoon Sixty 5 set up for British Virgin Islands charters that put scuba diving at the centre of the week. Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and the wrecks off Salt Island all sit within a day's reach of Tortola.

The Lagoon Sixty 5 is the joint work of VPLP Design for the naval architecture, Patrick le Quément for the exterior lines, and Nauta Design for the interior. She measures just under 20 metres and accommodates ten guests across five queen cabins, all en-suite, all with climate control. A crew of three, captain plus chef and stewardess, runs the boat and the dive programme.

The diving is the heart of the programme. The captain is a PADI Dive Instructor with a decade in the industry, and the boat carries enough scuba kit for the full guest count. Discover Scuba sessions are offered for non-certified guests who want to try a first dive, open-water certification courses run on board across the charter week, and certified divers go out at a per-dive rate.

The board-sport kit covers the rest of the day above the waterline: two paddleboards, a wakeboard, water skis, a kayak, and a tube for tow-runs behind the dinghy. Snorkel gear, floating mats, fishing rods, and an underwater camera round out the inventory. The 60hp dinghy handles the beach runs to The Baths, Cooper Island, and the rest of the BVI shoreline.
