C'EST LA VIE

C'EST LA VIE runs a full on-board PADI dive programme: scuba compressor, dive gear for everyone, and Captain Hylton Wessels guiding certification courses for guests of any level. Hylton also holds RYA Yachtmaster and is a serious spearfisherman, with twelve years at sea alongside his wife Amy.

Hylton and Amy are South African and run the boat together. Amy is the chef, holds an honors degree in Marine Zoology, and brings two Atlantic crossings of cooking experience drawn from the South Pacific, Indonesia, and the Caribbean. First mate Candace Flatley rounds out the crew of three, with PADI Advanced Open Water, RYA tickets, and a WSET wine certification.

C'EST LA VIE is a 2022 Lagoon Sixty7 power catamaran, twenty metres on the water with a ten-metre beam, sleeping eight guests across four en-suite cabins including a master suite and two queen doubles. She cruises at nine knots from her year-round base at Nanny Cay, Tortola, working the British and US Virgin Islands.

The toy programme matches the dive setup: Seabob, two paddleboards, electric foiling surfboards, wakeboard, tube, floating mats, snorkel kit for everyone, and three fishing rods (two trolling, one casting). A standard week from Nanny Cay covers the Baths at Virgin Gorda, the Norman Island caves, the Indians, and the run out to Anegada for the horseshoe reef and the conch shacks.
