About BARENTS
BARENTS is a 50-metre Benetti Golden Bay (hull FB 223, Stefano Natucci design), built in 1999 and comprehensively refitted in 2021. The refit was thorough: new Calacatta Gold marble and oak floating floors throughout, all-new Cantalupi lighting, fresh furniture and fabrics in every cabin, new teak decks, and the lazarette converted into a beach club with gym. She's had five names (Lionheart, Cuor di Leone, Lumiere, Sotavento, Barents). What matters is what she is now.
Twelve guests in six en-suite cabins. Full-beam master on the main deck with king bed. VIP on the upper deck with queen. Two double staterooms and two convertible twin/doubles on the lower deck, each with a pullman berth. Crew of 11 runs the service out of Athens, year-round in the Cyclades.
The toy list is properly stocked: two Sea-Doo jet skis, three Seabobs (two F5, one F5S), six iAqua sea scooters, four kayaks (two tandem, two single), four SUPs (one transparent polycarbonate), wakeboard, three adult water ski sets, kids' skis, inflatable banana, sofa tube, two single tubes, snorkel gear, and fishing equipment. An 11-metre tender with twin 300hp Suzukis handles logistics.
She cruises at 14 knots (17 max) with a range of 3,500 nautical miles. Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Milos, the small Cyclades: she stays in Greek waters because Greek waters are enough.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
