S/Y MELITI

MELITI is the only Garcia 86 ever built, a one-off from the French yard that made its name on aluminium bluewater cruisers. She launched in 2004 with a GRP hull and an aluminium superstructure, came through a full refit in 2021, and now sails out of Athens for the Cyclades and the wider Aegean.
She carries six guests across three en-suite cabins, with a full-beam master and a VIP that both take king berths. A crew of four runs the boat and the service. At 26 metres she has the deck space to keep a small group spread out, with a long cockpit for shaded lunches under way, a foredeck for sun, and clear side decks for moving about while the sails are working.
Under power she cruises at nine knots, but the point of a Garcia is the sailing, and MELITI was built to cover ground in comfort under canvas. The water sports kit is kept simple and useful: a Seabob, a stand-up paddleboard, and fishing gear for the quieter anchorages.
Based in Athens year-round, she is well placed for a week through the Cyclades, with Mykonos, Paros, and the smaller islands all an easy reach from the marina.

Good to Know
Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
