NORTHWIND II

Summer: CycladesWinter: Saronic Islands
1 / 19

NORTHWIND II is a piece of yachting history. Built by Camper & Nicholsons in Southampton in 1966 for French industrialist Paulin Richier (originally Chambel IV), she was renamed by her next owner in 1970 and has been cruising ever since. Last refitted in 2022. Steel hull, aluminium superstructure, teak decks, and the kind of presence only a 60-year-old classic has.

The interior was designed by Maison Jansen and it shows: Burmese teak panelling banded with 22-carat gold, the sort of detail that simply doesn't get built anymore. She accommodates 10 guests across 5 en-suite cabins, including a master with two beds (108cm and 128cm), one VIP, and three twins. A full crew of 9 delivers service at a standard the boat was originally built for.

Twin MAN diesels push her at 12 knots cruising, up to 14, with a 2,275 nautical mile range. Based year-round in Athens.

Burmese teak, 22-carat gold banding, Maison Jansen interiors, and a hull that Camper & Nicholsons put in the water when England won the World Cup. NORTHWIND II is the real thing.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
