BELUGA

Based in Cairns, BELUGA is one of very few superyachts operating full-time on the Great Barrier Reef. She's a 34.7-metre Moonen built in 2006, refitted in 2024, with a 4,000 nautical mile range that takes her from the reef itself through the Whitsundays, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea.
Five cabins sleep ten to twelve guests. The full-beam master on the main deck includes a private office; two doubles (each with a dividing wall converting to twins) and two twin cabins with pullman berths handle families or groups flexibly. Crew of five lives separately, with a captain who knows these waters year-round.
Four decks offer space you don't expect at 34 metres: a sundeck jacuzzi, a monkey island crow's nest for whale watching, and multiple dining areas inside and out. The standout is MINKE, a custom-built 40-foot Assegai chaseboat fully equipped for game fishing, scuba, and snorkelling. Add a Yamaha Waverunner, two Seabobs, wakeboard, water skis, banana, donut, and two SUPs.
Twin MTU 804hp engines cruise her at 10 knots with a top speed of 13. This is an expedition yacht, not a sprinter. The reef is the destination, and BELUGA was built to stay there.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
