KISMET

A 2025 refit left KISMET running four kilowatts of solar and a large battery bank, so the air conditioning holds through the night without the generator turning over. Guests get quiet, cool nights at anchor and cleaner running through the day. She is a Leopard 50 built by Robertson and Caine in 2018, based at West End on Tortola and cruising the British Virgin Islands, with a run down to the Windwards in the summer season.

Eight guests settle into four en-suite staterooms, and a crew of two run the boat and the galley. The flybridge, the roomy cockpit, and the open saloon give the group several places to gather or split off, with modern finishes and wide sightlines out over the water. The layout suits a family charter as easily as a group of friends.

Time in the water is the point of a BVI week, and KISMET is well kitted for it. A pair of sea scooters covers the underwater running, while two paddleboards, a two-person kayak, a towable, and two floating mats spread across the calmer afternoons. Eight sets of snorkel gear reach the reefs, and the fishing kit runs from light tackle to deep-sea gear. The dinghy pulls the towable and runs guests ashore to the beach bars.
