THANDEKA

Summer: Caribbean
1 / 19

THANDEKA is the last yacht Camper & Nicholsons built at their Gosport yard, launched in 1999 as Our Blue Dream for an owner who commissioned her to sail around the world. Dubois Naval Architects drew the lines for a 37-metre deck saloon sloop in aluminium, and a comprehensive 2026 refit has brought her electronics, rigging, and interior finishes to current standards.

The deck saloon is what makes the design. Wraparound glazing gives close to 300 degrees of unobstructed sea views, with two leather sofas flanking oval tables in a space that feels more conservatory than yacht interior. Below, the master cabin has an unusual round king bed and a full en-suite. A VIP with a queen bed, and two twin cabins complete the layout for eight guests across four en-suite cabins. Seven crew handle sailing and service.

THANDEKA carries dive equipment and an onboard compressor, which means cold-water diving in Norway, Scotland, or Iceland without relying on shore operators. A Novurania 4.8m tender with 80HP outboard, a Yamaha FXO WaveRunner, paddleboard, towable tube, and snorkelling gear round out the toys.

A single Caterpillar 3408TA at 578HP provides auxiliary power at 10 knots cruising, 13 top, with a 2,800-nautical-mile range for longer offshore passages. She is currently cruising Northern Europe, set up for the Norwegian fjords, the Scottish Hebrides, Iceland, and the Baltic.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
