About CATALYST
CATALYST is a Fountaine Pajot Samana 59, launched in 2025 and customised well beyond the standard build. She is a private yacht that takes charters only in select weeks. This winter she cruises the Grenadines in November and December, then moves to Panama for January and February. From July 2027 she charters in French Polynesia.
The flybridge is the largest in her class: a terrace over the water with daybeds, a dining table and room for sundowners. Below it, the aft cockpit opens into a panoramic saloon with an open-plan galley. A lounge on the bow faces the anchorage. A hydraulic swim platform at the waterline makes swimming and launching the toys easy.
Eight guests sleep in four queen cabins, each with its own bathroom. The owner's cabin is the largest of the four. Air conditioning runs all night, a watermaker keeps the tanks full and Starlink keeps everyone connected.
Captain Yara and Chef Alica run the boat. Both are German and worked together on another Samana 59 before CATALYST, so they know the layout inside out. Between them they speak German, English, Spanish, French and Italian. Full board is standard: breakfast, lunch and dinner on board every day.
The toys: a 14 ft Highfield tender with a 60 hp outboard, a Subwing, two 2-person kayaks, three paddleboards, a wakeboard, a kneeboard, a towable tube, a floating mat, snorkel gear for eight and two trolling rods. Kite and wing foil gear can be added on request. She cruises at 7 knots on two Yanmar 150 hp diesels.

Destinations
French Polynesia
CATALYST cruises French Polynesia, typically the Society Islands of Tahiti, Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea, Taha'a and Bora Bora. Coral reefs enclose calm lagoons with clear water for swimming and snorkelling.
Caribbean
CATALYST charters in the Caribbean this season. Where she cruises depends on her starting port, so we plan the itinerary around her base and the islands within comfortable reach of it.

Good to Know
Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
