TAMARITA

Perini Navi built TAMARITA in 1991 to a hull drawn by Ron Holland, and she has carried that pedigree through a major refit in 2022. At 46 metres she is ketch-rigged, with a full wardrobe of North Sails and twin MTU diesels for the days the wind drops, cruising at twelve knots when she is under power.

Ten guests are accommodated in four cabins below deck. The full-beam master is the standout, with an office and lounge area, his-and-hers bathrooms, and a jacuzzi tub. A VIP double and two twin cabins, each with a pullman berth, take the rest of the party, all en-suite. A crew of eight runs the boat, the sailing, and the service.

The ketch rig is the heart of how she charters. With two masts and a deep keel she holds a steady line on a long passage under sail. Her hull is steel with an aluminium superstructure, in the Perini tradition. The deck has the space a yacht of this length carries: room to spread out forward, shaded seating aft, and a cockpit set up for dining under sail or at anchor.

Based in Athens, she charters across the eastern Mediterranean, with the Cyclades and Saronic islands close at hand and the Turkish and Croatian coasts within reach for a longer cruise. A Ron Holland hull and a Perini Navi build give her the sea legs for a proper sailing itinerary across open water.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
