Three cabins, a crew of four, and an aluminium hull built to cross oceans. FREE AT LAST is a 29m Marcelo Penna-designed performance cruiser, built by Monty North in Spain and launched in 2001. Her deep 3.70m keel and more than 350 square metres of sail make her a genuine blue-water sloop, the kind that eats upwind miles for breakfast.
She came out of a full 2025 refit with fresh paint, new teak decks, and a refreshed interior. The master cabin and two convertible guest cabins (all en-suite, with pullman berths for flexibility) sleep up to eight below deck, while a flush teak cockpit with U-shaped sofas and dual steering wheels keeps everyone close to the action up top.
Captain Becattini brings 290,000 nautical miles and 35 years of open-water experience across four languages, and Chef Demuru has logged over 100,000 NM on luxury sailing yachts. Provisioning for a week threading the Ionian coastline is second nature for this crew. A first mate with an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore ticket and a steward who doubles as rigger round out the four.
Toys run to sea scooters, SUPs, kneeboards, a wakeboard, and a Highfield tender. Summer base is Corfu, with flexible Med and Caribbean options in winter.
She sails where the big fibreglass charter cats can't follow.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
