SOJANA

Winter: Caribbean

SOJANA is a 34-metre carbon fibre ketch designed by Bruce Farr and built by Green Marine in the UK in 2003. Her name comes from her original owner Sir Peter Harrison's three grandchildren (Sophie, James, Natalie), and she spent nearly two decades racing under his flag, winning Antigua Sailing Week three times and competing in the RORC Caribbean 600.

She accommodates nine guests across four cabins: a forward master with queen berth, an aft VIP double, a twin, and a smaller bunk cabin that works well for children. All three main cabins are en-suite. The interior by Design Unlimited leans into traditional yacht club warmth with rich wood panelling, recently refreshed in a 2023 refit that brought the systems up to date without losing the boat's character.

On deck, the ketch rig means serious sailing with manageable sail plans, and the crew of five know how to get the most out of her. Guests who want to sail themselves get two Laser dinghies; those who'd rather be in the water have kayaks, windsurfers, wakeboards, and surfboards at hand, plus snorkel gear and fishing tackle. The 25-foot custom RIB handles shore runs and towing duties.

SOJANA cruises at 10 knots from her base in Saint Kitts, with a carbon hull that still moves like the racer she was built to be.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
