ERA

Summer: Balearic Islands
1 / 11

Fountaine Pajot's Alegria 67 is the sailing flagship of the French builder's catamaran range, and ERA is a 2024 hull working her first seasons out of Palma. She is a 20-metre cat with 9.83 metres of beam, drawn by long-time Fountaine Pajot naval architects Berret-Racoupeau, with the social space pushed across the foredeck rather than behind the helm.

The signature feature is the sunken foredeck lounge with a proper jacuzzi at its centre, flanked by two large trampolines and shaded or open seating. Aft, a flybridge with a hard roof gives a second outdoor lounge above the cockpit, and the hydraulic swim platform drops to extend the deck when the toys come out. Twin Yanmar 4L V170 diesels push her at nine knots when the wind drops.

Eight guests sleep across four en-suite cabins: a king master with TV and three queen doubles. A crew of three handles the boat, the cooking, and the toys, with air conditioning, Starlink, smart TV, and an outdoor sound system standard.

Two efoils, a sea scooter, a double kayak, two paddleboards, an inflatable swimming platform, a towable donut, and twelve sets of snorkel gear cover the charter party. A five-metre tender with 50 horsepower runs guests ashore.

Palma is the home port, with pick-up available in Ibiza and Menorca for charters starting mid-Balearics. The itinerary covers Cabrera, the Mallorca coast, Menorca's calas, and the Ibiza-Formentera anchorages within a week.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.

Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.

We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.

We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.

We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.

If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
