MIRAGE is a 53-metre Feadship, launched in 1979 and refitted twice since: first in 2015 (which won her the World Superyacht Award for Best Refitted Yacht in 2016), and again in 2020. De Voogt drew the hull and the exterior lines. Design Unlimited handled the interiors. She operates in Northern Europe through the summer season: Norway's fjords, the Scottish coast, Iceland.
Twelve guests in eight en-suite cabins across two decks. The full-beam owner's suite and a VIP cabin sit forward on the main deck, both with king beds. Below, two doubles and four twins (with four pullman berths for extra capacity) handle families and mixed groups. Each cabin is finished in dark wenge wood and themed around a different art movement: cubism, surrealism, pop art, expressionism, suprematism. On a static charter alongside the quay, she sleeps up to 20.
The toy inventory is unusual for a classic Feadship. Two Yamaha jet skis, two Seabobs, an e-foil, kitesurfing gear, two sailing dinghies, kayaks, three SUPs, wakeboards, water skis, six sets of scuba equipment, and a full range of towables. She holds RYA water sports centre certification. Two 6.6-metre BSC tenders run the transfers.
Among the crew of 14: a qualified scuba instructor, a kiteboarding instructor, a masseuse and beauty therapist, and a fitness instructor. The sun deck has a jacuzzi, the skylounge has an outdoor cinema, and there's a gym with bench, rowing machine, treadmill, and free weights.
Twin Caterpillar diesels, 14 knots cruising, 16 top, 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Forty-five years old, two refits deep, and still carrying a full RYA-certified water sports inventory.

Key details to help you prepare for your charter experience.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is a pre-paid amount given to the yacht to cover costs like food & drinks on board, fuel, and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, we'll provide you with an itemized breakdown of the expenses, and any unused funds will be refunded to you.
Your Captain will keep you updated if you're close to exceeding your budget. If necessary, they'll discuss how to proceed, which usually involves a simple bank transfer to replenish the allowance.
We recommend around 10-15% of the charter fee as gratuity for the crew. It's thoughtful to prepare a thank-you card or envelope to make the process easier.
We'll provide you with the Captain's contact details well ahead of your charter. We can also create a group chat with you and the Captain to go over any plans and preferences before you board.
We follow MYBA and CYBA contract standards, these internationally recognized agreements offer clarity and security throughout your charter experience.
If you're ever uncertain about what's included or have any questions, feel free to ask your broker at Frontier Yachting. We're here to ensure your charter experience is perfect.
